Abstract
This article analyzes the role and importance of speech competence in the process of forming a speech culture in primary school students. Extensive information is provided on effective methods and tools for eliminating some shortcomings and defects in the speech of primary school students. In particular, the results and advantages of organizing lesson processes based on an individual approach with students with speech defects are highlighted.
