Abstract
This study examines the implementation of the communicative approach in primary education and its impact on students' communicative competence, critical thinking, and social interaction skills. Conducted during the 2023–2024 academic year in primary schools of the Tashkent region, the research involved both experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught using communicative and interactive methods, while the control group followed traditional teaching approaches. Results indicate that the communicative approach significantly enhances students’ classroom engagement, independent thinking, oral and written communication skills. Furthermore, this approach contributes to the development of essential life competencies such as teamwork and social adaptation. The study underscores the necessity of specialized teacher training and the development of modern textbooks to effectively utilize the communicative approach, thereby improving education quality and fostering socially active, well-rounded generations in contemporary education systems.
